Our MD, Steve Evans, began his landscaping business, Kingston Landscape Group, 25 years ago and after some years buying plants from various nurseries across Surrey he decided to open his own nursery in Twickenham to provide him with a regular supply of plants and landscaping materials, and Sempervirens was born.
Initially a small plant nursery, local landscapers quickly saw the benefit of sourcing their plants from Sempervirens as it saved them spending an hour round trip travelling to the nurseries in Woking to source their supplies.
So what started as a puddle-ridden, messy yard for Steve’s plants has,10 years later, become a smart, organised professional nursery covering 18 acres and employing 5 full time staff.
We opened our doors to retail customers a few years ago, and following the successful launch of our ‘Loyalty Club’ in 2011, welcome many of the local residents to our site. They can choose from an array of shrubs, trees and vegetables to fulfil all of their planting needs.
Our team really know horticulture, some of us have over 20 years experience and have been with us since the beginning, which enables us to offer our customers excellent advice on anything from the right plant for the right place, to plant identification from our trusted team.
Following the success of Sempervirens, we opened ‘The Otter Nursery’ in Ottershaw, Surrey where we are giving the local Surrey residents the same great service as our clients in Twickenham. We grow most of the plants on site in Ottershaw and now supply both Sempervirens and other local nurseries with our ‘home grown’ plants.
We are always happy to answer your questions, and will if needed spend time to help you make the right decisions for your garden. We would be delighted to provide you with everything you need, on whatever scale you need it.
