TREES
   

Prunus Autumnalis & Rosea

A spreading, deciduous tree reaching a height and spread of 8M. Both autumnalis and rosea bear semi double white or pink flowers between autumn and spring. Requires full sun and fertile, well drained soil. Average growth rate. Perfect for a bit of winter colour.



SHRUBS
 
 

Sarcococca confusa:

Dense evergreen shrub with very fragrant white flowers borne in winter, followed by spherical, glossy black fruit. Grow in humus rich soil in deep or partial shade. Height 2M Spread 1M.

Hamamelis (Witch Hazel):

A deciduous shrub grown for its autumn colour and bright, fragrant, spider shaped flowers borne in dense clusters over the winter. Grow in full sun or partial shade.

Viburnum tinus Eve Price:

Compact form of viburnum tinus. Evergreen shrub, pink flowers buds apparent in winter/ spring. Height 3M Spread 3M.Full sun, part, shade, full shade.




PERENNIALS
 

Helleborus (Christmas Rose):

A hardy winter flowering perennial. The deeply fingered, dark green leaves make an excellent groundcover. The flowers are white often tinged with pink and open from December to February.
